The Leogang region is famous for being a total hiking paradise in the summer with over 400 km of marked hiking trails to explore. From easy hikes and walks in the valley to more arduous vie ferrate to challenging high alpine peaks, on the 2,634-metre high Birnhorn for example, the highest mountain in the Leoganger mountains. If you prefer a less strenuous route to reach the heights, you can simply go up on the Asitz gondola lift. Once you arrive at the top, a whole new hiking network will open up for you, and you can also simply walk back down to the valley.
Explore the extensive mountain scenery of the Pinzgauer Grasberge, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and discover the fascinating flora and fauna. Numerous mountain restaurants and rustic alpine huts offer a welcome rest and refreshment when hiking in Leogang – let yourself be tempted and indulge in the regional specialities!
