Specialities and delicacies "made in Pinzgau"

Hearty and delicious!

We would be happy to prepare traditional Pinzgau food for you on prior request, including “Bladln” (deep-fried turnovers with sweet or savoury filling), “Krautspeck” (a delicious cabbage and meat mix), “Germkrapfen” (deep-fried pastries with with sweet or savoury topping) and “Kasnocken” (cheese dumplings) – what could be more delicious?

Cabbage is the top source of vitamins in the winter, and the cabbage is served with salted and smoked meats to make the Krautspeck. Kasnocken are served in a traditional cast iron pan with fresh chives.

As Pinzgau cuisine is often fairly substantial, you should finish off the meal with a home-distilled schnapps.
